Irish Medtech, Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland jointly host Medtech Rising annually. This event is one of the largest gatherings of Medtech professionals in Ireland with up to 500 CEOs and business leaders in attendance annually. The event is an opportunity for experts to share their insights on global trends and discuss new and innovative ways of doing business. The evening event is the culmination of the Irish Medtech Awards where the winners are announced at a gala dinner

Shellcove has managed this event in Galway, Cork and Dublin since 2015. In 2024 and 2025 the event has included a new second stage event Medtech Connect which provides a platform for SMEs to raise awareness and pitch their innovative technology solutions and business models to potential business partners, large MNCs and investors.

The Task

The task for Medtech Rising was to build on the networking element of the event for sponsors and delegates. Stand space was expanded and the introduction of Medtech Connect provided for a new audience at the event. Networking breaks were also extended to accommodate more engagement and collaboration.

The Solution

Working closely with the management and communication team from Irish Medtech, Shellcove designed a theme and concept for the event, sourcing the venue and the entertainment.

Shellcove worked with Irish Medtech to identify speakers suitable for sessions and provided a brief and advice on presentation/ format for agenda.

Providing full management of the awards from day one, our team orchestrated the streamlining of applicant entries and judging, resulting in the successful delivery of the ceremony and provided innovative solutions when presenting the awards to their respective winners.

The Result

The event attracted an impressive number of attendees this year with over 500 registrations. The conference was a huge success with each of the sessions providing incredible value to all that attended. Planning for the 2025 Medtech Rising Conference & Awards is currently underway which will be held in Galway once again.
